Whether your case is in state or federal court, JFL is here to help navigate the local rules and local law so that you can focus on winning your case.
Washington State’s Superior Court Civil Rules are analogous to and based upon the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, with a number of important and sometimes subtle differences. Further, each county has its own set of local rules that layer over the Civil Rules. Likewise, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington has a set of Local Civil Rules that in certain respects may look familiar, but in other respects will be foreign to out-of-state practitioners.
JFL can also help with research regarding civil procedure and Washington State or Ninth Circuit substantive law.
